Introduction to mRNA/mRNA-LNP Biomanufacturing

Overview

CASTL invites industry professionals to join the pilot cohort of its hands-on training on mRNA/mRNA-LNP biomanufacturing training. This 3-day in-person training, held in Montreal from October 1–3, 2025, is offered at 50% of the regular rate under the BioWorks program.

Developed with input from academic and industry stakeholders, this program is designed to strengthen competencies in key mRNA manufacturing and LNP formulation processes, combining theoretical concepts with practical applications.

Key Topics Covered

Theoretical Modules:

  • Introduction to mRNA manufacturing
  • Downstream processing for mRNA
  • Linearization, transcription, and capping of mRNA
  • LNP encapsulation and final formulation

Practical Sessions:

  • Contamination control in mRNA-LNP manufacturing
  • Preparation and handling of mRNA solutions
  • Large-scale chromatography
  • Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (UF/DF) at small and large scale
  • LNP encapsulation and filling operations

Who Should Attend?

  • Professionals working in biomanufacturing, R&D, or process development
  • Teams interested in enhancing their understanding of mRNA and mRNA-LNP production workflows
  • Industry members seeking practical insights into mRNA/mRNA-LNP manufacturing processes

What Will Attendees Obtain on Completion?
